SNOW DAY! (Good thing, because we were for real snowed in). Chicago Public Schools called the first snow day since January 1999 to commemorate the third worst Blizzard in Chicago's history. A beautiful, bizzare, and restful day.
And then, glorious of all glories... CPS called. Day. 2. (It might have had something to do with the subzero, negative fifteen degree temperatures and still blowing and drifting snow everywhere). So Darryl and I, belonging to an organization of teachers and needing to celebrate this rarest of events in correct fashion, headed out into those subzero temperatures for trivia and teachers (and beer). Getting home was, as you can imagine, an adventure.
Darryl's car, all ready for a joyride!
Happy snow day!
