I am going to post pictures only for the Spring Break trip (which was just wonderful, I got to take Brenton to all my favorite spots in my favorite place in the whole world, Anna Maria Island, FL.) The trip was lovely and personal and deeply emotional, both for me and that boy I love and for me and my darling island, the many many memories I have there and the changing lives of those with whom I have shared it, and the spirit of my beloved Nani. Overall it was a 10 (helped that it was 80+ and sunny every single day) and I am deeply happy.

Drove back to Chicago (after bidding the BFFFFFFFF another slightly weepy adeiu - someday Shawn and I WILL live in the same place and never have to do this again). Driving was not so bad next to my man (who also let me sleep the last 2 hours and drove for me). Backkkkk home again!

Today was Bonnie's wedding day in Cincinnati. The main events, in order, included:
1. Not going to bed until 4 am because of great people and great conversation
2. Getting up at 9 to drive to the wedding (sooooo tired)
3. An amazing, wonderful, slushie-filled, best-conversation-having road trip with my best friend ever, Mr. Shawn Coner
4. A little hotel mix-up leading to (another) almost late wedding entrance
5. A wonderful reunion of the dearest Lexington friends
6. An even better reunion with that handsome boy I adore so much
7. Dancing the night away with some of my favorite people, from dear friends to Brenton's family
8. A wonderful weekend leading to (next up in Bloggerville) my Spring Break!

OMG OMG OMG.... today is the day....... I have a VERY important arrival today! It is SO HARD to focus on your work when you know that your BEST FRIEND in the world is flying to you from California and you'll get your (finally) first true, BBFFFFFFLLLL bear hug in 7 MONTHS in mere hours now...
So to explain this picture, Shawn and I were so wrapped up in best-friendy-ness we didn't even take any pictures until Saturday. Friday night, though, we had a grand old time with old friends and Shawn's closest friends from Gahanna; Paul, Kelly and John coming over. This particular image is my injury arisen from desperation to pull the largest and best beer case out of the Jewel fridge. I thought it would be bruised until Shawn said something to the effect of "gross" and showed me my dire injury. I knew that the following day no one would give my injury quite its deserved sympathy if I didn't catalog the original injury.
