Happy Derby Day! Continuing my string of great women with changing lives, this weekend is Alison's derby themed wedding shower. So fun, great people and great times!
There was, per usual, a contest in which teams had to make the best wedding dress with tissue paper, tape and ribbon. Even though we lost in a grossly unfair one-person vote, the dress we created was just about runway ready. Of course, a team of 7 elementary school teachers was a little unfair. What do you think? (we were robbed!)

Thursday! My favorite day... 8th grade + day before Friday = awesome.
Held hands with this handsome guy and walked to Smoke Daddy for bbq. Perfect evening! :)

This picture gets two whole (fairly uneventful) days... I changed my facebook picture to this one, my beautiful mother. I am truly the most blessed person alive - my parents are the most amazing people I know and honestly (gulp - here goes) my best friends. My mother is lovely, brilliant and I think a little psychic. I mean seriously, I used to call her at work every day and ask where something was in the house or the world and she ALWAYS knew...pretty good, but wait. I kid you not, I call her NOW, from Chicago, and ask where things are in my apartment HERE, and she still knows. This and more make her my idol and will keep me impressed for the rest of my life (since she has promised to never ever leave me). I love you mama!

Happy Friday! Darryl and I both had friends in this weekend... Brenton's best friend from home came to visit us and Darryl's best friend Mark was in as well. We had a jammin' weekend with 5 people in our two-bedroom apartment! There is no security quite like having a man sleeping in every single room of the house except the bathroom... and no one was getting in that way! We went and watched really REALLY drunk people fall over and attempt games of pool at Cans on Damen, all while singing along to awesome 90's music. Made it easy to forget Saturday School :)

Back to reality - Brenton and I flew back to Chicago on Friday evening and rested as much as possible, then had to get up bright and early Saturday to drive - back - to Kentucky for Easter with our families. Saturday we split up and got some quality friends time (I got to see some darling, wonderful amazing people) and then Sunday we reunited for Easter. Some highlights follow.
